An academic background in finance can be applied to a broad range of careers in virtually every industry. Before arriving at a final career direction, consider your unique combination of skills, interests, values, and personality traits.


Substitution: You must have a minimum of 18 credit hours in core accounting, auditing, and/or taxation. Up to six semester credit hours of core coursework in finance, money and banking, economics, or business may be substituted for accounting, auditing, and/or taxation credits on a credit-for-credit basis to reach the 24 required credit hours. If you meet the minimum qualifications under B or C above, there is no substitution for the required experience.

Participate as the Area Finance lead or \u201Ccountry liaison\u201D with assigned countries which requires manager to have a robust understanding of the country markets, customers, pipeline, performance, risks, opportunities, etc. \u00A0Manager is the first finance point of contact for the country commercial teams.


An associate degree in finance can be a good option to start your career, depending on your personal circumstances. For those who don't have prior education in finance, an associate degree helps you begin earning qualifications.


A bachelor's in finance gives you a broad foundation in finance and its function. And it provides you with the advanced skills you'll need for your finance career. The coursework includes upper-level math, as well as any specialized or elective finance-related classes you choose to take.


But keep in mind that it's a personal decision that depends on a variety of factors. And not everyone is suited to a career in finance. If your math skills are not as strong as your skills in other fields, you may not enjoy a career in finance.
